About Us

The Grooming Room can cater for dogs of all shapes and sizes from pedigree to crossbreeds.

All dogs benefit from regular grooming, as it helps with keeping the coat and skin in good condtion. Both long haired and short haired dogs benefit from grooming; keeping long coated dogs matt free and short coated dogs shedding less. When a dog comes in to be groomed for the first time i will discuss with the owner any requirements they have such as style of grooming, questions on grooming or if the dog has any skin problems. I also use the correct shampoo for the dog's coat type, whether it has sensitive skin or a wirey coat.

I recommend bringing puppies in from about 14 weeks to get the dog used to being in the salon. Often, for the first time, it can be just a brush and tidy up if necessary. Grooming your dog between appointments will also keep your dog knot free which means less stress for your dog. I will also recommend when your dog needs to be groomed again as this will vary from dog to dog.
