About Us

WTDT is a dog training school helping owners to train their dogs of all ages and breeds with positive, reward based training methods.
We run classes from Puppy Foundation to advanced level. We have the right classes for you whether you are just looking for basic obedience and handling for your new puppy or rescue dog or whether you would like to continue training in further classes which include activities like pet obedience, agility, rally-obedience and games. We also offer the KC GC Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

We can also help with 1-2-1 sessions for obedience and home visits for behavioural issues.

We keep our classes small with two trainers so every owner and dog enjoys maximum benefits. Our two main trainers are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and hold a degree in canine behaviour and training.

“This Dog School is a Local Treasure!” Mrs Southgate Reviewed on 16th August, 2011 I've been amazed at the progress my dog has made during the 8 months we have attended these imaginative and inventive classes. I only have to say 'Vera' (who is the Head Trainer) and my dog runs to the front door in excitement to get off to our weekly class. The school has taught me methods that really work and has also given me loads of encouragement and motivation to practise consistently and get results. This has hugely increased the bond between my dog and me and this makes the value of attending this school just priceless!
