About Us

Ashman Jones is Bath's newest and only 100% independent veterinary practice. We are small, friendly and personal but have full surgical facilities and are able to come to you if necessary. The partners (Philippa Ashman and Murray Jones) have over 27 years of veterinary experience between them and pride themselves on their personal care and dedication to the animals they treat. We also provide our own 24HR emergency service for our registered clients.

Pip graduated from Bristol University and brings 14 years of veterinary experience to the Ashman Jones partnership. She loves dealing with all areas of veterinary work, especially veterinary surgery.

Over the years Pip has worked locally in Bath and Bristol as a small animal veterinary surgeon. During this time she has earned a well deserved reputation for being extremely reliable, genuine and caring to the animals she treats.

As a long serving member of Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club, she has become part of the local community in Bath. Pip lives with her husband (and any wildlife that choose to join them) in Newbridge.

Murray grew up in Australia and graduated from Murdoch University in Perth in 1997. Murray's father was born in Bath and his father's side of the family all originated from Oldfield Park. In fact his great grandfather used to run the local garage between the wars!

Murray lives on London Road with his partner, their two dogs and a cat. Murray has 13 years of experience as a small animal veterinary surgeon and has a keen interest in small animal medicine, in particular veterinary dentistry.

His aim is to be honest, caring and professional in all areas of his life. Murray has recently rekindled his passion for rugby by joining the local touch rugby league.

Appointments are by booking only, but emergency cases will be seen at any time. Surgery times are:

Client parking is available behind the practice, just follow our signs down Weymouth Street.
