Welcome to the Somerset and Dorset animal rescue website.

We hope that by visiting our site you may be moved to help us help the animals that pass through our centre.
We are a family run organisation and rely heavily on the goodwill of the public.
Being located in Wincanton Somerset we are able to take into care animals from across the whole of the South West of England.

Our aim is to help all kinds of animals in all kinds of distressing situations.
We save animals from a wide range of life threatening circumstances,homelessness,starvation,abuse and neglect.

We are totally apolitical and non-judgemental and take animals in any condition and for any reason.Our only concern is the immediate welfare of the animal and it's subsequent rehousing.

The publics generosity has helped to heal and find safe,caring homes for many animals including dogs,cats,rabbits,chickens and horses.

Any animals that are rehoused are fully vet checked, and where ever possible,neutered and microchipped.

Please help us continue this vital work and support us either by donation,rehousing or simply spreading the word.

“Animal Rescue Shelter Wincanton Somerserset” Mr kreft Reviewed on 17th July, 2010 We got a staffy bull terrier from this rescue centre wow was we in for a amazing experience the shelter run by liz and colin and sam for cats was truely amazing They guys and gals knew everything about the animals the vet care they provide the animals are exellent also there is a barn shop on site at the weekends as well as a animal grooming parlour i saw all sorts of animals where it was clear the animals came first im sure the animals had the house and the staff had the kennels it was clean fresh happy staff i didnt want to leave truely amazing i believe liz has been to the house of lords for a award and she also helps in sri lanka for a charity called srilanka animal sos i urge any one needing a pet go and visit these guys and gals or they are also looking for donation and volunteers the rescue centre is at balsam farm common lane wincanton ba99rb i am sure you will enjoy the visit joseph
