About Us

We are a family business with over 20 years experience and we pride ourselves on the quality and care we provide.
BOARDING KENNELS
Your pet is in caring and experienced hands. Whitehouse Kennels has spacious boarding facilities and we have several family facilities enabling several dogs from the same family to stay together comfortably.
Having 7 dogs and 7 cats ourselves we know only to well the special bond between owners and their pets and can assure you that your pet will be left in the best care whilst you are on holiday, in hospital or awaiting export abroad.
All dogs are exercised in individual runs at least 3 times a day.
All our facilities are fully heated and provided with musical entertainment!
Dogs and cats are fed a well balanced nutritious diet based on their diet at home. Special diets are always catered for and medicines administered.
One of our guests eats Swedish meatballs, sliced cucumber and peppers! Pets with special needs can be accommodated.
We have constructed specially adapted facilities to best look after these special pets.
We have cared for dogs and cats with epilepsy, diabetes, amputated legs, no exercise programme due to ligament damage, blind and deaf, very elderly, heavily pregnant with puppies imminent and needing 24 hour constant supervision.
There is easy access to the M5, A370, A38 and a large car park. Staff are fully trained and have extensive experience. Many of our owners have become regular visitors, friends and return with their pets for many years.
CATTERY
Your pet is in caring and experienced hands. Whitehouse Cattery has spacious boarding facilities. We have several family facilities enabling several cats from the same family to stay together comfortably.
Having 7 dogs and 7 cats ourselves we know only to well the special bond between owners and their pets and can assure you that your pet will be left in the best care whilst you are on holiday, in hospital or awaiting export abroad.



All cats are given the opportunity to exercise, be groomed and have lots of cuddles when they pens are cleaned out.
The cat’s pens are separated by full height sneeze barriers which enable the residents to see their neighbour without making direct contact.

We have cared for cats with diabetes, amputated legs, no exercise programme due to injury, blind and deaf, very elderly, heavily pregnant with kittens imminent and needing 24 hour constant supervision.
There is easy access to the M5, A370, A38 and a large car park.

Many of our owners have become regular visitors and friends and many return with their pets year after years.
SMALL ANIMALS
We have the facilities to house a variety of small animals.
Residents include rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, birds and reptiles.

GROOMING
We offer a professional grooming service where we can groom and/or clip, bath and clean eyes and ears.
Any nails can be clipped and smelly glands unblocked!

All dogs are washed with a parasitic agent which kills fleas and keeps their coat free from new fleas for several weeks.
GARDEN OF REST
When the sad day arrives that you loose your friend we can be there to make the arrangements for you.
We can arrange for your pets cremation and have our own garden of remembrance.
You can bring your pets to us or we can collect from you.
The ashes are placed in a casket, urn or box and you can collect them, they can be scattered or interned with an engraved marble tablet in our garden of remembrance.
Our staff understand the sadness you will feel and will do our best to make a distressing time as bearable as possible.
MOVING OVERSEES
Located less than half an hour away from Bristol International Airport and an hour from Cardiff International Airport, Whitehouse Kennels is ideally located to help you relocate overseas with your dog or cat.
We are able to collect your pet from anywhere in the UK and provide documentation, veterinary requirements, arrange flights from other airports, have excellent boarding facilities for as long as you need and have a visiting veterinary practice.
We aim to provide a service to suit you and your pets needs and will provide the best care at all times to help ensure the travelling experience is as stress free as possible.

Whether you are returning from overseas or have been on holiday we can provide the facilities and make the necessary arrangements for your pet to travel to the UK without the need for quarantine under the pet travel scheme.
If your pet is travelling to the UK from a country that does not have the pet travel scheme they must complete 6 months quarantine in the UK with an import permit.
We work with several approved airlines to enable pets to travel into the UK.
Whitehouse can arrange your pet to travel by road or air to your final destination in the UK.
We can provide the IATA airline approved pet carrier moulded of high quality durable plastic with paw proof grills to allow plenty of air and light, a locking mechanism on the door to prevent opening and a leak proof floor.

PET PRODUCTS
We have large shop stocking all of the main brands of dog and cat food
(James Well beloved, Pedigree, IAMS Company, Hills, Purina, Royal Canin, Hi life, Arden Grange) and we can offer trade prices for much of our stock.
Given the large number of dogs we board many who come to us on the rescue side with dietary disorders we have sourced our own dog food.
It is a complete gluten free chicken and rice food and retails at £21.50 for a 20Kg bag.
Or cattery use our own cat litter made of grass, which is highly absorbent and clean to use and we sell it in the shop at £7.50 for a 20Kg bag.
Goods can always be delivered and if we don’t stock a product we will always try to get it for you.
We can microchip your dog while you wait, provide identity tags and can worm and apply flea treatment.
We now stock fuminators at a discount prices
Within the shop we have available of product for all pets and include a wide range of carrying cases and other accesories.
