Lovely puppy class.
Mrs Williams Reviewed on 25th September, 2013

After a bad experience with another class I came to this one. All 3 running the class were very pleasant. It is very much upto you to listen and take on and train all things taught. I had no major issues with my pups basic commands so the exercises for me ran very smoothly. Others in the class who had small problems with their dogs got special attention and even we could see an improvement in their behaviour/training. I would definitely recommend this class to others.

Achieving My Goal
Miss Hope Reviewed on 4th February, 2013

I am currently doing my Duke of Edinburgh Award, and attend the dog training classes as part of this. I go along every week with my own dog, and participate in the very valuable classes. Myra and William are fantastic, and are very supportive. They are delighted that I have chose Dog Training as part of my award, and help, and guide me. They make me feel very welcome, and I am enjoying every minute of the training, as I am learning and achieving my goal, at the same time as spending time and bonding with my own dog.

Learners All Round
Miss Hope Reviewed on 4th February, 2013

I would highly recommend this dog training class to all dog owners. I have taken our puppy along to these classes, and I can't believe the transformation in my dog. Before I started attending the classes, she was quite timid and nervous around other dogs. I am glad to say she is now a very confident, and obedient dog, who thoroughly enjoys attending the classes. I am a very proud dog owner. I can't thank the dog handlers enough, for making me feel very welcome in the classes, and also for all their help and advice.

Pathways to perfect pets
Mrs mcmorran Reviewed on 13th November, 2012

It gives me the utmost pleasure to provide this review detailing my recent experiences at Puppy Obedience Classes, Scout Hall, 159 Finnart Street, Greenock.
Our puppy, Robbie, arrived at this house on Thursday, 27th September. This was to be the third home of rescue dog, Robbie. Previous domestic circumstances had made things difficult for the previous owners to keep him. When I was informed by owners of 'A Pet's Paradise', Princes Street, Port Glasgow that he was available, I 'jumped at the chance'!
Robbie was born on 6th May 2012 and was almost 5 months old when he became our new pet. My husband and I were aware that he needed training in house habits, obedience of simple commands, walking properly on the lead, socialising with other dogs etc. We knew that a routine had to be established in order to overcome, excuse the pun, 'teething troubles' and enable him to become a well-behaved and contented dog. The owners of the aforesaid shop recommended that he should attend Puppy Training Classes at the Scout Hall -above mentioned.
What an amazing experience this proved to be! At the classes, a very warm welcome by Myra and William, dog trainers, was extended to all participants, both human and canine. Their assistant, Shona and her dog, Tango were also present to assist and skilfully demonstrate during all training activities. Over the course of 5 weeks attendance at classes, Robbie and several young dogs were given lessons in basic skills. The training skills were very carefully and explicitly delivered by trainers in a simple yet specific manner. After two sessions at the classes, a variety of people complimented on how Robbie's behaviour had improved. Such people included the local popular vet, Neil McIntosh, people in attendance at the classes, visitors to my house and my street neighbours.
On completing a 5 week block of lessons, Robbie could obey commands such as--- "Sit!", "Down!", "Stand!" His bad habits of jumping on people and pulling on the lead were also, thankfully, addressed and corrected. We had been very concerned about such habits and did not want them to be the cause of future trouble! I also consulted trainers about several other issues i.e. chewing, appropriate exercise, feeding and establishing a balanced routine for this new member of my family. Sound and extremely useful advice and tips were willingly given.
After completing his 5th class, Robbie was proudly awarded his first award named 'The Puppy Foundation Assesment'. This prestigious award is now framed and takes pride of place in my lounge.

I look forward with eager anticipation to the next training block where I am confident that his skills and behaviour will be further developed. This reallly has been a rich, rewarding and enjoyable experience and I feel compelled to state unequivicably that anyone with either a young puppy or indeed a older dog requiring training would benefit immensely by visiting these training classes. Yes there's the old adage "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" - I wonder ?
I should like to extend my sincere and grateful thanks to Myra, Willliam, Shona, Tango, all the many dog owners and of course dogs with whom I shared this unique learning experience. Keep going ! Playful, pampered, precious pups need people like you !
Love from,
Mary, Matt & Rob Roy MacGregor - for short, Robbie.

Great friendly class
Mrs Murdoch Reviewed on 7th November, 2012

My dog Leo was anxious & lashing out when around other dogs. I joined these training classes as I wanted to get him socialised with other dogs, I had attended another training class in Greenock before but felt as though the people running it were very unwelcoming and that all the owners were very friendly with each other and not to myself. This worried me about joining another class but Leo's behaviour was just getting out of hand. The difference in the welcoming behaviour of those who run the class aswell as fellow owners was unbelievable ! Leo and I have now made good progress & the help I have been given with him has been more than I could imagine - would like to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome even though Leo wasnt the friendliest dog, could not recommend this training class enough !

Amazing dog training
Miss Brown Reviewed on 1st November, 2012

I cannot recommend Inverclyde school of dog training enough. My dog is 3 years old & being a smaller dog than most tends to lash out/attack at those bigger than him. On the first class the direction & guidance I was given off Myra was above anything I was expecting - this has continued & the training is going really well. After only 1 week at the class I noticed a difference in my dog as he was now trying to socialise and play with other dogs. The class creates a fun & relaxed environment that any dog could benefit from. Would advise anyone to go here no matter their training needs - thank you for giving me the skills to make him the fun well behaved dog that I know he always could be.
