About Us

Creature Comforts offers a unique tailor made pet care service. Your pet will live as family in the caring and warm surroundings of my family home. I will give your pet the same care, love and affection as you would and will adhere to your feed/exercise/sleeping regimes so..... If your dog sleeps on your bed then he or she will share mine! I am always happy to collect and deliver to your door. I also offer a dog walking service, visiting to feed/let out cats and other animals e.g. chickens, goats etc., I take birds to care for in my home and have experience of my own exotic birds. In house small furry creatures are also very welcome! Larger animals such as horses,
donkeys, alpacas, goats etc., also comprehensively looked after.

We were able to pick him up for a walk and then return him dirty and sometimes he was delivered to the hotel and then picked up again,absolute luxury. Strongly recommend.

It would be impossible for me to put her in a regular kennel so I contacted Joy of Creature Comforts who went out of her way to take Belle on three separate occasions for a couple of hours to make sure she was comfortable and last week we tentatively left her there for two nights. Imagine our delight when Joy showed Belle asleep in a dog bed with a very large Labrador and she had apparently gone there of her own volition! When she first went there she was glued to the sofa and leapt several feet in the air if anything moved! I simply don't know what we would have done if Creature Comforts wasn't there. Our puppy is thrilled to see Joy - in fact she gets a better welcome that we do. One of the things I particularly like is that Joy and her husband seem to take such delight in making sure she is happy. Thank you so much. We would never consider leaving her with anyone else.

I think my dog prefers it there and every morning when we walk past Joy's, i have to retrieve my dog from the doorstep! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog, and HRH is good friends with Scuttles, William and Bentles is her total love. Just brilliant.
	“Superb service” Mrs homewood Reviewed on 19th August, 2011 I was fortunate to find Joy on this website and she kindly agreed to look after my shihtzu eddy ( the one stood on the steps in joys garden) whilst we were in chard on holiday. Joy even came to our campsite to meet eddy and then picked him up on the agreed days. Eddy loved Joy as soon as he met her and spent a couple of enjoyable days in her home.Joy was very flexible with days and times which was great while we were in holiday mode.I only wish we lived near Joy so I could let her look after eddy on a regular basis.I heartily recommend Joy to anyone who wants someone to not just look after their pet but to really care about them.Thanks Joy, and Paul of course.

Joy is always accomadating and makes us feel so welcome. I never worry at all about leaving Scuttle there which is such a relief. A fabulous place to leave your dog.

	“LOVELY HOLIDAY....” Mr McKinnell Reviewed on 26th July, 2011 Bentley or 'Mr B as he is known an English Pointer had recently had a lot of changes in his life. He had moved home and lost his two friends who used to live with him. In the past if he went to kennels he would always go with his companions. Now they were no longer around we knew we could not send him to the kennels as he had developed a fear of being alone. As the whole family were going on holiday abroad we really were worried as to what we should do. A friend gave us Joy's number and as soon as she arrived at our house our fears and worries went away. She completely put us at ease and her immediate rapport with Bentley was wonderful she was a true 'doggy' person. Bentley went off happily in the back of Joys truck and the next we heard he was sleeping on her bed!! Not only did we have a relaxing and worry free holiday - Bentley also got his holiday with lots of other lovely dogs. We will certainly being using Joy again when we book our next holiday.
	“Exceptional....Could not ask for more....” Mrs Street Reviewed on 25th April, 2011 Having sold my own successful pet care company, I was in the strange position of having to find someone else to look after my own dog 'Monty'. Like most people, I was nervous about someone else looking after my dearest friend but Joy has been fantastic and I need not have worried at all! Joy has been taking care of Monty for the past 5 months, walking him 3-4 times a week and regularly taking him home for 'sleepovers' when I'm away on business. Joy is 100% reliable and most importantly, kind and caring with a genuine love for animals. She has a wonderful quality with her furry/feathery friends which I have witnessed firsthand and many times she has gone the extra mile for Monty demonstrating the sincerity of her compassion for Monty's well-being. I cannot recommend more highly but Monty himself is the best critic: when I collect him from Joy's I literally have to carry him out the door because he never wants to leave! You can’t get a better recommendation than that! Absolutely superb!

	“Total Peace of Mind!” Mrs Poulton Reviewed on 14th April, 2010 Talk about separation anxiety! Me – not my dog! I have a gorgeous labradoodle puppy who means the world to me and I was so worried when I had to make a trip and leave him behind. Who could I trust to understand my concerns and who would take good care of my dog? I was recommended to Joy and Creature Comforts by several people and I have to say she is the absolute dogs’ paws – so professional but a total animal person. If you saw the way my dog lays his head on her lap in complete happiness, all your anxieties would just slip away. He has an absolute ball when he stays there and it is so good for him. I can’t recommend Joy and her service too highly!

He goes to Joy 3 times a year when I'm on holiday, and numerous other times if I need to be away overnight/working etc. He starts to shake with excitement as soon as he realises where we're headed, and drags me from the car. He is totally at home in Joys house, and I have no qualms whatsoever about leaving him there. And he is one totally spoilt dog!! I even have photos of him sleeping on Joys bed!! I have recommended Joy's services to many of my friends who are all happy with the service she gives. A++++
