About Us

Born to Run Pet Care offers professional, caring and reliable pet care services. I am an experienced, qualified Veterinary Care Assistant with a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes, however dogs are my speciality. I have a diploma in Canine Science and enjoy dog and puppy training.

Operating in the Teesdale area, I aim to give absolute peace of mind to clients and treat their pets as if they were one of my own.

Professional, friendly, and reliable. We have one very happy dog, and the peace of mind that he is in very good capable hands. Only regret is that we didn't do this sooner. Thank you Born to Run
	“I have a happy doggy” Mrs Stables Reviewed on 18th March, 2011 Tamara at Born To Run Pet Care has been very professional in her attitude to running her business. Tamara has always been taken the time and care to communicate well and be on time. I really would recomend her - the best thing is that I have a very happy chocolate labrador called Junior who loves to see Tamara at the door and this tells me everything! Tamara took the time in the first place to understand Junior's personality and how he reacts to traffic, people, other dogs etc. I have a happy dog and Tamara's rates are very reasonable. 	“Born 2 Run Review” Mrs Riddell Reviewed on 17th March, 2011 I would have no hesitation in recommending Born 2 Run Pet Care. Tamara was available for advice even before we got our puppy and her knowledge has been extremely valuable ever since then! Our puppy is now 6 months old and is looked after 2 full days a week by Tamara. She is collected from the house every day, has a fun filled day and returned in time for us getting back from work, exhausted and content. Nothing is ever a problem and Tamara is full of useful info / contacts.
	“Exceptional Service” Mrs Cooper Reviewed on 15th March, 2011 Tamara looks after my dog for at least one day a week on a regular basis. He is always happy and contented when he returns, having been well exercised and looked after. On occasion I have had to ask for an additional day or an extra walk and Tamara has always agreed to help out, even at very short notice. Tamara is reliable and trustworthy, always turning up at the agreed time, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to other dog owners needing a similar service. She provides an excellent service at a reasonable rate.
	“Delighted to give an excellent review” Mrs Elder Reviewed on 6th February, 2011 Tamara helped out when I needed a dogwalker urgently. I had broken my ankle and my regular dog walker was away. I have two dogs, one cannot be trusted off the lead as she is a sheep worrier and the other is epileptic. Tamara has been walking them now for three months (can you believe it takes that long to mend a broken ankle!) and we have been very grateful for her assistance. She coped brilliantly in the awful ice and snow and is always very good with the dogs. Tamara is understanding about the needs of the individual dogs, is patient with neurotic owners and runs her business very professionally.
	“Dog sitting!” Miss Hetherington Reviewed on 4th February, 2011 Tamara looked after my little dog tj for a period of 8 days whilst i was on holiday last summer. He was epileptic and had addisons disease so was on lots of medication(nearly 20 tablets aday) and was on special prescription diet food. I didnt want to put him in a boarding kennels as last time he came back unwell and i needed sum1 experienced and able to give him his medication properly and the care he needed so i chose born to run. Tamara was brilliant with him he got fed his proper food was given his medication properly and came back extremely happy. He stayed at tamaras house with other dogs and the service was excellent value for money :-)
	“A good local service” Mr Fish Reviewed on 3rd June, 2010 We contacted Tamara Wilson about walking our two dogs and she came out to introduce herself and make the necessary arrangements. She arrived promptly at the appointed time, was friendly, efficient and polite and had a great relationship with the dogs so we asked her to visit on two occasions whilst we were away. On both occasions she visited the dogs were happy and had been well exercised, a clear report on their exercise times and habits had been provided and the post had been brought in for us. Her charges were also very reasonable. From our experience I would certainly employ Tamara again and recommend her services to anyone needing reliable pleasant help with their pets.
	“Neil's Holiday” Mr Thornber Reviewed on 24th May, 2010 My dog Neil had a great time at Born to Run. The staff were brilliant with him during his week long stay. The value for money was exceptional and he came home with a glossy coat and renewed vigour.
