About Us

I can provide your dog with a "home" situation whilst you are on holiday. I have very many "regulars", some of which spend as long as six weeks with me whilst their owners are abroad, and others which only spend a night or two with me whilst their owners are away for a day or so. All visiting dogs live in the house (but no aggressive dogs, please! My own dogs are very friendly and have never taken exception to any of my "guests"!)and are taken for walks in the beautiful countryside around here but are only let off the lead if their owners are 100% certain that they have good recall! I am also prepared to care for dogs in their own home, and regularly look after two dogs who remain in their owner's house visiting them three times per day, and also look after six working dogs visiting them four times per day. I also look after cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens etc in their own homes and have on several occasions looked after their owners' vegetable plots, too!

I am also happy to provide a dog walking service for owners who work and want their per exercised during the day.

My main business is looking after horses (although there does not seem to be a business category here for this!). I muck out, change rugs, turn out, bring in, pick up droppings, groom etc. I also have experience with foals and youngsters. Again, I have many regular clients, some of whom I work for an an almost daily basis and others who only need me when they are away on holiday. I have some who book me months in advance and others who ring me "on the day" for my help and I ALWAYS try to fit everyone in - I work on the basis that my reliabilty is very important to my clients! I have ridden since 1963 when I was a small child, and owned horses since 1970 so I have plenty of experience! When I am very busy, my 20 year old daughter (who has ridden since she was 4 and is very experienced with owning horses) lends a hand!

My charging rate is £10 per night per dog, and £10 per hour for equine services.
