About Us

Old Clayton is a large professionally run Kennels, Cattery and training facility established in Washington, West Sussex, for over thirty years. Set in four acres of meadowland overlooking the South Downs yet less than half a mile from the A24; a major link road taking traffic from the South coast to London, Heathrow, Gatwick and the M25.

Our fully trained and experienced team of staff maintain complete dedication to the care and well being of all animals that stay with us. Alongside our boarding kennels and cattery, we also offer a wide range of additional services including dog training, grooming and re- homing rescue dogs. We also have a fully stocked pet food and accessory shop where we can offer a personal ordering service should you require anything that may be out of stock. We also have fully qualified staff to offer a micro chipping service.

We have a fully qualified Behaviourist and our dog training facility offers a wide range of services to address all your canine obedience training and behaviour needs including the following:

“First time in kennels” Mr McBride Reviewed on 2nd September, 2011 We recently went abroad and decided to board our staffy Reba on the recommendation of a family friend. As this was the first time we had put Reba in kennels we did not know what to expect. I had a walk round with one of the girls before we left Reba with them and was very impressed with the whole set up at the kennels. On returning from holiday we picked Reba up and we were told she had a slight problem which needed veternary treatment and this was done on our behalf. We had a run through of how she had been while we were away and we are very pleased with the love and care that was shown to her. We would not hesitate to leave Reba with them again and have already raved to friends and family about the standard of care giving to our little girl.

“Forever Grateful” Mrs Brown Reviewed on 2nd September, 2011 We have got our dog Donut from Old Clayton Kennels as a rescue dog and the care he received whilst there was so outstanding when we have gone on holiday since we have always placed him in their care and would not consider anywhere else now. The love and compassion the staff have for the animals is outstanding and you could not ask for more care than knowing they care for the dogs in thier care as if they were there own. We have only had fantastic experiences of this Kennels and would not hesitate in recommending them to friends and family. We do not recognise the previous experience posted on this site and as above have no hesitation in leaving our dog in their care whilst on holiday knowing he is receiving 5 star treatment.
