About Us

CHANTRY VETS was established in 1960 and is the oldest Small Animal Veterinary practice in Wakefield and one of the longest established in Yorkshire.

It is also the only veterinary practice still run as a family business and based in Wakefield.

We have a Central surgery with Hospital facilities in Wakefield and surgeries in Normanton,Castleford,Outwood and Ossett.

The practice has been accredited as a Tier 2 practice by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and is British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) approved.

We open 7 days a week (except Bank Holidays) and are the only practice in Wakefield to work on Sundays!

“Very highly recommended!!!” Mr Filips Reviewed on 29th April, 2010 Great experience.my cat was hit by a car and i had to rush her throught to chantry's gill's yard surgery.they immediately took care of her and sorted out her broken leg and kept her in hospital for few days.i also was asked to pay only my excess on insurance and they then claimed directly form the insurance company-great relief on finances.all staff are very genuinely friendly and there is a very pleasent feel to the place(as far as vet practices go). Very highly recommended!!!
