 | “Free health check and advice” Miss Rigby Reviewed on 3rd November, 2010
Having recently rehomed a malnourished puppy whose teeth where crumbling and snapping, I was advised by a vet whose advice I sort that my pup should have his broken teeth removed. This would involve a general anaesthetic and would cost upwards of £150. On hearing this I came immediately to my Vets, Alder Veterinary centre to book him in for any treatment he would require, however the vet I saw checked him over, saw he was in no pain, had no difficulty eating and chewing. She explained to me the stress that would be involved for the pup and brought in her senior collegue who confirmed everything she said and added that while they could do the procedure they felt it was totally unnecessary. The staff where incredibly reasuring, gave me samples of Puppy food, gave my pup a full health check and didn't even charge me a consultation for all the time they had spent with us. I cannot recommend this Vet surgery highly enough, I have been with them for over 10 years with my cats and now my 3 dogs and they are always ready with advice over the phone and always friendly and welcoming in the surgery. |
