Sherwood canine hydrotherapy are simply the best
Miss Myers Reviewed on 12th November, 2013

I took my dog Wilson to Sherwood canine hydrotherapy for the first time 12 months ago today.Wilson(a stray I foster from the Dogs Trust) has chronic arthritis and last November lost all the use of one hind leg, due to his age (believed to be 13)my vet suggested he put him to sleep, but agreed we could try hydrotherapy, but not to expect any results but he "might enjoy it for his last few days". We were referred and the guys at the centre could not have been kinder or more helpful. We went twice a week initially, borrowing a coat "with a handle" so we could support him on short walks, just around the garden. Within a couple of weeks he began to use his leg again and by Christmas didn't need support but could get up & walk on his own. We still go every week for a session, Wilson loves it and is still a happy dog with quality of life. It is entirely thanks to Sherwood that I have had a full extra year (& hopefully a few more weeks or months) of friendship shared with Wilson. I cannot recommend them & their services highly enough. Whether your dog is fit / fat just fancies a swim, or has problems ( in which case ask your vet for a referral) please talk to them it could be the difference between life & death for your dog, it was for Wilson. Check them out on their website or visit them on face book (see a picture of Wilson on FB or try "Wills Floats" on U tube.

Sherwood Canine Hydrotherapy are very very good at what they do they have a lovely big warm pool for your dog to swim in and they are very good at keeping an eye on your dog checking that they are ok and keeping a close eye on whatever injury they had so they don't over do things, you can even have fun with your dog by swimming with your dog it is great fun, my dog Sallie had an operation on her leg and had a very bad limp, so l took her to Geoff and Ken and they helped her with the pool she has no limp now and is a very happy dog she cannot wait for her next swim, your dog gets a shower after as well l would recommend them to every one l know or even people l don't know to help there dog/dogs or just to have a good fun safe swim with your dog/dogs excellent thank you Geoff and Ken

We've been taking our 9yr old Labrador to Sherwood for the past 6mths, I only wish I knew about it a long time ago.....our lab suffers weakness in her back legs and was overweight by 7 kilos, due to lack of excersise.....she's lost 5 kilo, and now we can walk her a little further each day.....we take her every two weeks, and Sherwood have always focused on her individual care and they also make it fun for her.....the staff are friendly, professional and have such a love for dogs, it makes it a pleasure to go there.....I would certainly recommend Sherwood hydrotherapy, it's also great value for money, and there are some great products you can also buy for your dogs......

Totally thrilled with this place!

Myself & my Daughter take our 2 German Shepherds for a family fun swim every 2 weeks, excellent value for money and they have a loyalty scheme! The girls love it and it is really helping to keep them supple in their joints.
Also, my 11 month old Grandson gets in with the girls and loves swimming with them, and because the pool is kept scrupulously clean and at a good steady temperature, we know he's ok too!
Really can't recommend this place enough!

We've been going to SCH since it opened once a month with our dogs for a fun swim session. It is an absolutely excellent facility. As well as offering the hydrotherapy and grooming services you can just go along and swim with your dogs just for fun. Our dogs love it and dive straight in to the pool. We have a Greyhound and a Cavapoo, for our Greyhound this is a fantastic way of keeping him fit and healthy.

Staff at SCH are fantastic, they always go out of their way to make your time there the best. They are extremely knowledgable in animal anatomy and how hydrotherapy helps your dog. The staff are all fully qualified and know their stuff, if they can't help there and then it won't be long before they have answer / advice for you.

I highly recommend a visit or two or three or more.
