About Us

New Service Added - Edinburgh South Dog Walking Alternative - exercise in a secure field inc. pick up and drop off - see website for details.

DOGMORE, our dog training, licensed boarding kennels, day care centre and shop in Edinburgh, provides a complete canine care service that benefits both dog and owner. With four decades across-the-board experience in dog training, we aim to address the problems a lot of dog owners experience when managing a full time job and other commitments, at the same time as trying to give their dog the attention it requires.

With our dog walking alternative, dog daycare service dogs get to run around and play in our large, secure, outdoor exercise area or our indoor training area fully supervised by our experienced, police vetted staff. We can even pick up your dog and take him home all tired and happy - your dog will love it!

Dogs in boarding kennels are treated the same as our day visitors - they are only kennelled at night time and by then they are tired and satisfied.

Our dog training either private sessions or group classes - can address any requirements and problems you may have and our agility groups help to strengthen the bond with your dog and are great exercise for dogs and owners!

Our shop will also provide you with Natural Instinct raw food and all the essentials for looking after your dog.

Look at our website for service information and call the centre or look at our Facebook page for details of classes etc.

Can't Recommend Highly Enough
Mrs Bridgman Reviewed on 4th October, 2012

My Deerhound has been going to Dogmore for over 2 years now (since he was 10 months old). It was originally supposed to be a stop gap measure due to a change in my work pattern, however he loves it so much I send him even when I don't really need to. If he hasn't been for a while he sits by the front door waiting for Sandy to arrive!

As a particularly large dog it is reassuring to know that he's being correctly supervised and still being able to run freely with other dogs of a similar size. The staff are all fantastic - always friendly and helpful. I really appreciate their ability to be flexible as my work commitments can change at short notice and they are always able to fit him in.

I'd highly recommend this service to anyone. It's the first time I've used a dog daycare facility and thoroughly researched before I trusted my precious boy to anyone. If you have any doubts I'd suggest you go along and meet the team - they'll soon put your mind to rest!

A great place for your four legged friend !
Mr Murray Reviewed on 25th September, 2012

We have used Dogmore for over 18 months for our Welsh Terrier Paddy. We have used them for everything - Paddy attends every day and can't wait for the weekend to end so he can spend the rest of the week with all his dodgy friends. We have used the boarding service as well for a 10 day period, and he seemed to be sad to leave when we came back to pick him up after our holiday, so would have no hesitation in using this service again. We have also used Nir for puppy training with my daughter and all her friends which he did at our house which was fantastic and taught us all a lot about dog behaviour . All in all a fantastic place for dogs which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking at doggy daycare, boarding and training.

My experience of Dogmore
Mrs McPhee Reviewed on 25th September, 2012

Our white German Shepherd goes to Dogmore for daycare weekly.
I drop him off at just after 8 and as he recognises the route going there, gets excited in the car, dives out and heads down the lane. We are met by friendly staff and off he goes to play for the day. I know he gets out to play in the field and indoors is kept busy. It has helped Casper socialise as he mixes with all the many other dogs that go to Dogmore. Recently he had to be kennelled over night as we were delayed travelling back from a funeral and it was a weight off my mind that he was being cared for and that it was not a problem for him to stay over. Going to Dogmore is now part of Casper's routine and makes his week a bit more exciting and he enjoys going. I enjoy collecting him, he gets his dinner and promptly falls asleep for a few hours as he's tired out.

Great place
Ms Howden Reviewed on 19th September, 2012

When we adopted our dog, Hank, he didn't like walking on a lead and he hadn't been socialised with other dogs so didn't know how to react when he met them. We took Hank to Nir at Dogmore who told us that we would only need one hour session to fix the walking and recall problem. We were totally sceptical but it was true. Hank walks well on and off the lead now - and we are more confident dog owners.

Hank now goes to day care at Dogmore and he loves it. He runs to the van at pick up and gets made a huge fuss of by the staff(which he loves). The Dogmore facebook page is great as they put up photos of the dogs in the centre and out in their secure playing field. It's fun to see what your dog is up to during the day.

No hesitation in recommending Dogmore for training and for day care.

Tremendously Helpful, lovely staff.**************
Mrs Torrance Reviewed on 18th September, 2012

This is a marvellous place to bring your dog, my dog loves it! She races straight up the stairs to meet everyone, the 4 legged friends are greeted first then the 2 come after.
I have had invaluable one to one advice from the dog trainer, Nir, who I have to say has so much knowledge and displays such empathy with all the dogs that attend there, it has been quite overwhelming. The staff are all perfectly lovely too, from the young gentleman driver to the girls taking care of the dogs, they are always smiling and very helpful. I think I may still be attending there for a few years yet, I first attended when my dog Abi was just 12 weeks old, she is now 8 months and attending obedience class and doing great!!!
