About Us

Hello I'm Katie and I am the Dog Nanny. I live in Holmfirth with my dog Charlie. I offer a range of dog walking, pet care and house sitting services to suit the individual needs of you and your pets, primarily in the Holme Valley and south east side of Huddersfield. I am a great animal lover with a lifetime of experience and promise that your pets will be cared for as if they are my own.

My business is registered with the National Association of Registered Petsitters (NARP). This is the largest Pet Care organisation in the UK and it sets the standards for the Pet and House sitting professions. I adhere to these standards which gives you confidence that you can rely upon my integrity and reliability.

I am a Trustee of West Yorkshire Dog Rescue and have been fostering dogs with behavioural issues and training needs since 2008.

It is strongly recommended that I have the opportunity to meet you and your pet before any services are provided. This is free of charge. Of course I recognise that in an emergency this may not be possible.

I am able to ensure that Veterinary needs of your pet are fulfilled whilst in my care, at the owner's expense.

Please note that in order to ensure I fully understand your instructions there will be some paperwork for you to complete and sign.

Dogs
Dog Walking-

I will collect your dog from your home and take it for a 1 hour walk including playtime, and on return the dog will be cleaned, watered and settled. He may be walked with another dog if you choose. I am happy to walk dogs on lead or off lead according to your instructions.

weekday price £10 per dog, £6 per additional dog from the same household

weekend price £12 per dog, £8 per additional dog from the same household

Holiday Boarding-

This is home boarding of your dog for a period of time to ensure all it's welfare needs are catered for. Whilst you enjoy your holiday, your dog enjoys its holiday in my home as part of my family. You will have peace of mind knowing that your dog is living in a happy and comfortable home environment rather than kennels. Your dog will be given all the love and care you would give it yourself. There will be playtime and at least 3 walks a day.

price £16 per night per dog

£30 per night for two dogs from the same householdCats and Small animals

I am happy to care for any other pets you may have, cats, rabbits, birds etc. I will come to your home and feed, water and clean as appropriate to their everyday routine.

Cat-

price for one visit £7.50

price for two visits morning and evening £12

Small pet-

price for one visit £5



Pet Transportation

You may need your pet transported to the vet and be unable to take it yourself. I am more than happy for you to accompany your pet.

House Sitting

I will live at your home and care for your pets and household needs such as collection of post, watering plants, to your instructions.

Surcharge

In addition to the above prices there will be a surcharge of £0.40p per mile applied outside a 5 miles radius of Thongsbridge, Holmfirth.
