Trustedhousesitters.com is a newly launched service that enables pet owners to find an ideal pet sitter who will look after their home free of charge in exchange for providing a place to retreat to.

The website profiles many potential sitters, including veterinary staff, animal rescue centre workers, retired police, dog handlers and trainers, head teachers, magistrates, medics, even a retired FBI special agent, keen to look after homes and pets to save on the cost of accommodation if holidaying or visiting friends or family in your area.

This provides a great win-win for all, particularly in today’s economic climate recognising a growing trend in house sitting for free, in exchange for a comfortable place to retreat to.

Pet owners can securely create a listing and search for pet/house sitters, read reviews from other assignments and relevant pet sitting experience. They can also view references, photos, video profiles and police check information to help give peace of mind.

You can create a listing on the site free of charge, then registered sitters are alerted of your requirements and will respond to your listing - and then if you choose to, you can pay for full membership to use the site from there if you find an ideal sitter (£10 for a month, to £40 for a year’s membership).

The website has been featured in the Sunday Times, Telegraph, Sainsburys magazine and has been the Daily Mail website of the Week. We are a global business, but operate from England, so you can find a pet sitter via us for anywhere.

	“pet owner and housesitters” Ms French Reviewed on 22nd June, 2011 I highly recommend the concept and agency known as Trusted Housesitters.com My animals always had to be kennelled several times a year and this was becoming more worrying and difficult as the animals grew into old age. After much anxiety I finally came across this company and after registration I was introduced to many potential pet sitters. I have now used pet and home sitters several times. The animals are cared for in their own home, my home is looked after and on return, the house is clean, the animals are happy and the stress and worry of going overseas has been lifted from me. I highly recommend this site for all pet owners who are concerned about their animals welfare when absent and for those cases where a pet is elderly or unwell and needs personal attention. Elle
