Poorlypaws is a non-profit organisation set up in late 2009 by people that work within the veterinary community. Our aim is to foster and home cats and dogs that are either stray or have been signed over due to personal circumstances.

We do not believe in euthanasia of an animal young or old who would resettle in a new home whatever their age or medical history. We believe that they all deserve a second chance.

However, we do sometimes hear of animals who are not in our care and who's futures are not in our hands. We are committed to doing everything we can to try to help any animals in need of a loving home.

Our re-homing policy is simple, we vaccinate microchip and neuter all animals prior to re-homing and in return we ask for a minimum donation of £80.00 per cat and £120.00 per dog. All we ask in return is that you take good care of them, feed them and love them, insure them and carry out the duties of good animal ownership.

If for any reason at any point your circumstances change or the animal is unsettled we have an open return policy. At any length of time we will take the animal back into our re-homing programme.

We never home an animal that shows any kind of aggression and we will always advise you of any findings prior to re-homing.

We decided to set up this organisation due to the amount of animals that are strays, dumped, tied up, beaten and left to die. There is always a bigger picture and as you may have seen in the media they have recently highlighted animals which are sentenced to death as no one wants them, we want to make a change even if its only little.

Due to the huge numbers of healthy, friendly young dogs currently being put to sleep Poorly Paws are an anti breeding charity. We will remove any posts advertising dogs for sale or dogs that have been purposefully bred for financial gain & will not be able to help anyone who is involved in breeding dogs. Sorry but we are a welfare organisation & our "friends" are those that are helping us battle against indiscriminate breeding.

We are based in Chadwell Heath Dagenham RM8 and Chingford London E4 along with all our fosters carers dotted around these areas, we also work very closely with lots of other animal organisation so if we don’t have what your looking for we will always find someone somewhere that’s does within our community.

We also have an EBay account set up under poorlypaws2010, this account is run purely for raising money from donated items in order to meet veterinary costs, food supply and anything else the animal may need while in foster care.
